The paragraph below now has
to be amended. Missy passed
on June 17 and you can see
her pictures on the index
page. Rose is now 88 lbs and
has a brother Tyler that we
added to our family on
February 8th. For 4 wonderful
months we were proud to have
3 rescued Greyhounds and
although Missy had to limit her
activities there was more love
to go around for Linda and me
than one can imagine.

Our rescued Greyhound Missy welcomed a little sister on January
5th, 2008. Her name is Rosie and although she is only 2 years old
and just a lovable puppy still, she weighs in at 79 lbs! Missy is only
65 lbs but definitely the boss. They have adjusted to each other
nicely and you can visit both of them usually almost any day except
Thursdays and Sundays.
We invite you to stop and visit with Rose and Tyler. Tyler just
turned 3 and is real playful. Rosie turns 4 at the end of June and
has mellowed out quite a bit. We encourage anyone interested
in learning more about retired racing Greyhounds to contact us
or visit gpaindy.com ( Greyhound Pets of America - Indy )

Here is the latest update on our wonderful greyhound family. On July 11
we became foster parents with our 1st foster Grey - Sonia. She is a
beautiful 4 year old brindle with a fantastic personality. Well, you
guessed it, we are back to 3 Greyhounds in the house now as we fell so
much in love with Sonia that we adopted her! Next came Cherry on
August 29 a sweet little 3 year old. Well, we are thrilled that Cherry was
adopted by a wonderful family on September 13 during Dog Day
Afternoon in the District. We were close to keeping her also!. We look
forward to our next opportunity to foster, it was a very rewarding
experience and the other Greys were thrilled as well. Pictures of Sonia
are included now.

Well...its now July 2010 and we have fostered a total of 5 Hounds since
we started and have just adopted out Una, a darling little brindle who
never raced because of shyness! It is difficult to give up these wonderful
dogs but it is very rewarding to see them develop into loving pets and to
help someone else experience the joy we have known through the
generosity of others. Please stop by and say Hi to Rosie, Tyler or Sonia.
